We are a Crawley based driving school which offers the very best in driving tuition. Established back in 1982 One Way Driving Tuition (Harrow) soon established itself to be one of the country’s leading and most forward thinking Driving Schools. As time went on we branched off into many different schools each offering its own brand of driving lessons but all still retaining the same original ethos of offering the very best service and all from DSA grade 5 or 6 Instructors. From our Crawley office we only have the very top grade instructors (grade 6) and we have both male and female instructors. We teach driving for life not to just get you through a test, and have built up a reputation with generations of parents who trust us to teach there family members to the very highest standard. Let’s face it there is nothing more valuable then family and when only the best is good enough then you have just found us! All our instructors teach driving for life and we always offer further training after the test for either Pass Plus or Motorway tuition at discount rates to our pupils.
We believe that the new driver of the 21 century should be equipped to deal with every eventuality and to do this we specialise in Intensive Tuition or as we like to call it SWIFT PASS. Our SWIFT PASS schemes are designed to make the most of the time behind the wheel. Naturally we still offer the hourly driving lessons in both manual and automatic cars so we have not forgotten our roots either. As a school we normally recommend 2 hour lessons as they are a lot more cost effective then taking 1 hr at a time. We still have the same standards as we always have done, but in the 21 century things are changing. As always One Way Driving Tuition is at the very forefront of modern driver training. Being one of the first Driving Schools to offer Intensive courses back in 1985 we have now added another service OWDT SWIFT PASS.
The Advantage in both courses is very personal for each learner. There is a difference in Swift Pass and Intensive courses, and indeed Intensive courses have changed over the years as the DSA have changed the Driving test. We will try and explain the difference between the 2 types of course below.
Full time Intensive over one or two weeks with test at the end of the course.
This Intensive course is only suited to those who have a good amount of experience driving. With limited time to get to test standard the pressure can be high. The cost of the course includes the cost of your practical DSA driving test. It also includes a Mock test which is conducted just like a real test with a different driving instructor taking the mock so the pupil gets used to the added pressure. The courses normally start on a Monday with the test the Friday of the last week depending on course taken.
Full time Intensive over one or two weeks.
This course is very popular with complete beginners who want a big push at the start of there driving lessons. It’s a very popular birthday gift as it can be started on or very close to a birthday. It’s also handy for those with some experience who want to fit it in around school or work holidays.
The new Swift pass course's are designed to help the would be driver to have a timeline to there driving. Its proving very popular with parents, grandparents and anyone who want to have a set amount of lessons at a prepaid cost. Our Swift Pass course's are really taking off in 2011 as unlike the fulltime intensive they can be spread out over a number of weeks depending on which course you take. The main rule on the Swift pass is that you have to take a minimum of 2 X 2 hours lessons per week. The name Swift is used as if time permits the instructor will push through the course as fast as the pupil’s ability permits. Again depending on the course it may include both tests so we have to allow time for them to be taken. Of course it included our now legendary Mock test as per the Intensive course above.
All our courses we now firmly recognised as being one of the quickest and most cost effective methods of learning to drive. One Way Driving Tuition were among the forerunners in this very specialised form of tuition and have the expertise and knowledge to get you on the road fast.
One Way Driving Tuition SWIFT PASS Course not only gets you on the road quickly but also saves you money! If you have never driven before, you can save £100s, and have the peace of mind of knowing you have paid for all your tuition and can just worry about your driving. Launched in 2006 they have now become the most popular way our customers learn to drive if they are not doing a full 1 or 2 week intensive course. The main difference in the courses is the time scale that they run in. Our SWIFT PASS Courses are designed to cater for a broader range of driving abilities from the almost complete novice up test ready candidate.
The most important thing to remember is that ALL our course fees include the use of the car and the lessons (normally 90 min) before your test.
If you are required to take the Theory Test, our recommendation is to take one of our Six-Week Courses. We would normally evenly spread your course of lessons over the six weeks, so for example with our 25-hour course - you would take four hours of lessons each week.
With all our courses, the hassle and inconvenience of booking tests is taken away. Our office deals with this all for you direct with the DSA booking centres and we are easily able to snap-up short notice test appointments.
